A. Secure Access and Data Protection
Internal and external security threats endanger a business's most valuable asset - information. BMC offers a comprehensive security portfolio that includes products from Juniper Networks, F5 Networks, Ironport Systems, Tipping Point (a division of 3COM) and Bluecoat Systems. Firewalls, SSL/VPN, IDP, web and e-mail appliances each selected and recommended based upon specific customer requirements.

		Firewall / IPSec VPN The Juniper Networks integrated Firewall / IPSec VPN security devices are purpose built to perform essential security functions. Optimized for performance, they combine a stateful inspection firewall with deep inspection technology for application-level protection, IPSec VPN capabilities and denial of service (DoS) mitigation functions. Plus they are all manageable by a policy-based central management system - NetScreen-Security Manager.

Intrusion Prevention

Intrusion Detection Systems, by definition, only detect and do not block unwanted traffic. The TippingPoint IPS operates in-line in the network, blocking malicious and unwanted traffic while allowing good traffic to pass unimpeded. TippingPoint IPS protects routers, switches, DNS and other critical infrastructure from targeted attacks and traffic anomalies.

SSL/VPN

Juniper Networks SSL VPNs are based on the Instant Virtual Extranet (IVE) platform which uses SSL the security protocol found in all standard Web browsers. The use of SSL eliminates the need for client software deployment, changes to internal servers and costly ongoing maintenance and desktop support.
