As one leading tier one operator in the middle east, the General Directorate of Information Security there was the responsible of planning and managing the development and expansion of Information Security and to make sure that processes and procedures are in place for a successful, efficient and flexible IT operation.
The Information Security Monitoring Department (ISMD) is responsible for operating and monitoring the Information Security infrastructure in this operator. The Security Operation Centre (SOC) is one of this operator most important investments into achieving a 24/7 operations and support to its Information Security Systems.
This project's main purpose is to maintain and support the SOC systems as well as the rest of the Information Security Systems within this operator. And in order to achieve the previous target, this tier one operator signed this contract with BMC in order to insure the success of this project.
BMC was fully conversant with the requirement of the SOC for all projects to adhere to the SPMO guidelines. BMC had the experience and the knowledge of working with the SPMO personnel during the implementation of the Security Operation Center and support, and their requirements in regards to scheduling, documentation, recording of issues and reporting of progress and thus was complying with all SPMO requirements throughout the duration of this project.
BMC also provided the human resources required and that was utilized during the project, and provided the Security specialists with as per the operator’s requirement.
